A Forest at the Whitworth - Alice Kettle
Members are working towards an exhibition in 2019 on the theme of "Commemoration". There will be ideas and workshops throughout the new programme.
However, Alice Kettle is offering EG members the chance to contribute to her show at the Whitworth in 2018. The theme is trees and she is supplying a starter pack for a donation. Hopefully, the Manchester branch will have a strong presence. You can see details on the website here along with some inspiring examples. What else have you got to do at this time of year? 😉

December Meeting
Chris Bourne organised our morning session and we made Elves. There was plenty of variety, as you can see from the photos (access via right hand column) and here is Serena showing her work in progress.
After an excellent lunch, we had a quiz (also the work of Chris Bourne) for work and raffle. Members voted for their favourite pieces of work and Hilary and Dorothy won the trophies - congratulations!

National Celebration of Stitch 2017
A group of members met for some Butterfly-themed embroidery, in the gardens of the Parsonage Didsbury, to celebrate the National Celebration of Stitch on Saturday 5 August.
Rain did not stop play but, nevertheless, Ye Old Cock beckoned at lunch time and the embroidery continued after refreshment.
